How To Install node-async on Ubuntu 22.04

on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is node-async
node-async is:
Async is a utility module which provides straight-forward, powerful functions for working with asynchronous Javascript.
Async provides around 20 functions that include the usual ‘functional’ suspects (map, reduce, filter, forEach…) as well as some common patterns for asynchronous control flow (parallel, series, waterfall…). All these functions assume you follow the Node convention of providing a single callback as the last argument of your async function.
This provides async for use with Node.js - an event-based server-side JavaScript engine.
There are three methods to install node-async
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install node-async Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install node-async
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install node-async

Update apt database with apt

After updating apt database, We can install node-async
using apt

Install node-async Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install node-async
using aptitude

sudo aptitude -y install node-async
How To Uninstall node-async on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the node-async
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove node-async
Uninstall node-async And Its Dependencies
To uninstall node-async
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove node-async
Remove node-async Configurations and Data
To remove node-async
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge node-async
Remove node-async configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
