How To Install nocache on Ubuntu 18.04
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install nocache on Ubuntu 18.04.
What is nocache
nocache is:
nocachetries to minimize the effect an application has on the Linux file system cache.
Use case: backup processes that should not interfere with the present state of the cache.
Also this package provides the following utilities:
cachedel: clear page cache for a file.cachestats: print number of cached vs. not-cached pages for a file
There are three methods to install nocache on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install nocache Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install nocache using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install nocache

After updating apt database, We can install nocache using apt by running the following command:
