How To Install nmrpflash on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install nmrpflash on Kali Linux.
What is nmrpflash
nmrpflash is:
nmrpflash uses Netgear’s NMRP protocol (http://www.chubb.wattle.id.au/PeterChubb/nmrp.html) to flash a new firmware image to a compatible device. It has been successfully used on a Netgear EX2700, DNG3700v2, R6220, R7000, D7000, WNR3500, R6400 and R6800, but is likely to be compatible with many other Netgear devices.
There are three methods to install nmrpflash on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install nmrpflash Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install nmrpflash using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install nmrpflashInstall nmrpflash Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install nmrpflash using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install nmrpflashInstall nmrpflash Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install nmrpflash using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install nmrpflashHow To Uninstall nmrpflash on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the nmrpflash package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove nmrpflashUninstall nmrpflash And Its Dependencies
To uninstall nmrpflash and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove nmrpflashRemove nmrpflash Configurations and Data
To remove nmrpflash configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge nmrpflashRemove nmrpflash configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove nmrpflash configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge nmrpflashDependencies
