How To Install nitroshare on Ubuntu 18.04

In this tutorial we learn how to install nitroshare on Ubuntu 18.04.
What is nitroshare
nitroshare is:
NitroShare is designed to make transferring any file to any device as painless as possible.
NitroShare uses a JSON-based protocol that is both platform and architecture-neutral to transfer files as efficiently as possible. For added security, transfers can be encrypted with TLS.
IPv4 broadcast is used for automatically discovering other devices on the local network running NitroShare. This enables files and entire directories to be instantly transferred to the other devices.
An HTTP API is provided that enables other applications running under the same account to initiate transfers.
There are three methods to install nitroshare on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install nitroshare Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install nitroshare using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install nitroshare
Install nitroshare Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install nitroshare using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install nitroshare
Install nitroshare Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install nitroshare using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install nitroshare
How To Uninstall nitroshare on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the nitroshare package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove nitroshare
Uninstall nitroshare And Its Dependencies
To uninstall nitroshare and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove nitroshare
Remove nitroshare Configurations and Data
To remove nitroshare configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge nitroshare
Remove nitroshare configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove nitroshare configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge nitroshare
