How To Install nfs-ganesha-vfs on Ubuntu 22.04

What is nfs-ganesha-vfs
nfs-ganesha-vfs is:
NFS-GANESHA is a NFS Server running in user space with a large cache. It comes with various backend modules to support different file systems and namespaces. Supported name spaces are POSIX, PROXY, SNMP, FUSE-like, HPSS, LUSTRE, XFS and ZFS. This package contains a library for a FSAL_VFS and an example vfs.conf file
There are three methods to install nfs-ganesha-vfs
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get

Install nfs-ganesha-vfs Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get

After updating apt database, We can install nfs-ganesha-vfs

Install nfs-ganesha-vfs Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install nfs-ganesha-vfs
using apt

sudo apt -y install nfs-ganesha-vfs
Install nfs-ganesha-vfs Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install nfs-ganesha-vfs
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install nfs-ganesha-vfs
How To Uninstall nfs-ganesha-vfs on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the nfs-ganesha-vfs
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove nfs-ganesha-vfs
Uninstall nfs-ganesha-vfs And Its Dependencies
To uninstall nfs-ganesha-vfs
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove nfs-ganesha-vfs
Remove nfs-ganesha-vfs Configurations and Data
To remove nfs-ganesha-vfs
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge nfs-ganesha-vfs
Remove nfs-ganesha-vfs configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove nfs-ganesha-vfs
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge nfs-ganesha-vfs
