How To Install netstat-nat on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install netstat-nat on Kali Linux.
What is netstat-nat
netstat-nat is:
Netstat-nat is a program that displays Network Address Translations (NAT) connections, managed by netfilter/iptables acting as firewall.
NAT rules are stored in memory. However, the program reads its information from ‘/proc/net/ip_conntrack’, which is the temporary conntrack-storage of netfilter.
There are three methods to install netstat-nat on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install netstat-nat Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install netstat-nat using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install netstat-natInstall netstat-nat Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install netstat-nat using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install netstat-natInstall netstat-nat Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install netstat-nat using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install netstat-natHow To Uninstall netstat-nat on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the netstat-nat package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove netstat-natUninstall netstat-nat And Its Dependencies
To uninstall netstat-nat and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove netstat-natRemove netstat-nat Configurations and Data
To remove netstat-nat configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge netstat-natRemove netstat-nat configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove netstat-nat configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge netstat-natDependencies
