How To Install netplan.io on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install netplan.io on Kali Linux.
What is netplan.io
netplan.io is:
netplan reads YAML network configuration files which are written by administrators, installers, cloud image instantiations, or other OS deployments. During early boot it then generates backend specific configuration files in /run to hand off control of devices to a particular networking daemon.
Currently supported backends are networkd and NetworkManager.
There are three methods to install netplan.io on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install netplan.io Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install netplan.io using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install netplan.ioInstall netplan.io Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install netplan.io using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install netplan.ioInstall netplan.io Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the netplan.io package we can use the following command:

To uninstall netplan.io and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove netplan.ioRemove netplan.io Configurations and Data
To remove netplan.io configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
