How To Install netdata on AlmaLinux 8

What is netdata

It is a resource efficient, highly optimized system for collecting and visualizing any type of realtime time-series data, from CPU usage, disk activity, SQL queries, API calls, web site visitors, etc. netdata tries to visualize the truth of now, in its greatest detail, so that you can get insights of what is happening now and what just happened, on your systems and applications.
We can use yum or dnf to install netdata on AlmaLinux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install netdata.
Install netdata on AlmaLinux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install netdata using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install netdata
Install netdata on AlmaLinux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install netdata using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install netdata
How To Uninstall netdata on AlmaLinux 8
To uninstall only the netdata package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove netdata
