How To Install nemo-preview on CentOS 7

In this tutorial we learn how to install nemo-preview on CentOS 7.
What is nemo-preview
Nemo Preview is a GtkClutter and Javascript-based quick previewer for Nemo. It is capable of previewing documents, PDFs, sound and video files, some text files, and possibly others in the future. To activate the preview, left-click the file and hit space. The preview can be closed by hitting space again, or escape.
We can use yum or dnf to install nemo-preview on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install nemo-preview.
Install nemo-preview on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install nemo-preview using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install nemo-preview
Install nemo-preview on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install nemo-preview using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install nemo-preview
How To Uninstall nemo-preview on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the nemo-preview package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove nemo-preview
