How To Install nemo-data on Kali Linux

What is nemo-data

nemo-data is:

Nemo is the official file manager for the Cinnamon desktop. It allows one to browse directories, preview files and launch applications associated with them. It is also responsible for handling the icons on the Cinnamon desktop. It works on local and remote filesystems.

This package contains pictures, localization files and other data needed by nemo.

There are three methods to install nemo-data on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install nemo-data Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install nemo-data using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install nemo-data
