How To Install nanoc-doc on Ubuntu 18.04

What is nanoc-doc
nanoc-doc is:
Nanoc is a static site generator, fit for building anything from a small personal blog to a large corporate web site. It can transform content from one format (e.g. Haml or Markdown) into another (usually HTML) and lay out pages so that the site’s look and feel is consistent across all pages.
Extending Nanoc is easy because of its modular architecture. It comes with only a couple of extensions, but allows new functionality to be plugged in quickly and easily.
Some knowledge of the Ruby programming language is required in order to use Nanoc.

There are three methods to install nanoc-doc
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get

Install nanoc-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install nanoc-doc
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install nanoc-doc
Install nanoc-doc Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install nanoc-doc
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install nanoc-doc
Install nanoc-doc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install nanoc-doc
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install nanoc-doc
How To Uninstall nanoc-doc on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the nanoc-doc
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove nanoc-doc
Uninstall nanoc-doc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall nanoc-doc
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove nanoc-doc
Remove nanoc-doc Configurations and Data
To remove nanoc-doc
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge nanoc-doc
Remove nanoc-doc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove nanoc-doc
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge nanoc-doc
