on AlmaLinux 8.
What is myproxy-libs
MyProxy is open source software for managing X.509 Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) security credentials (certificates and private keys). MyProxy combines an online credential repository with an online certificate authority to allow users to securely obtain credentials when and where needed. Users run myproxy-logon to authenticate and obtain credentials, including trusted CA certificates and Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs). Package myproxy-libs contains runtime libs for MyProxy.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install myproxy-libs
on AlmaLinux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install myproxy-libs.
Install myproxy-libs on AlmaLinux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install myproxy-libs
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install myproxy-libs
Install myproxy-libs on AlmaLinux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install myproxy-libs
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install myproxy-libs
How To Uninstall myproxy-libs on AlmaLinux 8
To uninstall only the myproxy-libs
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove myproxy-libs
