What is myproxy-devel
MyProxy is open source software for managing X.509 Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) security credentials (certificates and private keys). MyProxy combines an online credential repository with an online certificate authority to allow users to securely obtain credentials when and where needed. Users run myproxy-logon to authenticate and obtain credentials, including trusted CA certificates and Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs). Package myproxy-devel contains development files for MyProxy.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install myproxy-devel
on Rocky Linux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install myproxy-devel.
Install myproxy-devel on Rocky Linux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install myproxy-devel
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install myproxy-devel
Install myproxy-devel on Rocky Linux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install myproxy-devel
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install myproxy-devel
How To Uninstall myproxy-devel on Rocky Linux 8
To uninstall only the myproxy-devel
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove myproxy-devel
