How To Install muttdown on Ubuntu 18.04

What is muttdown
muttdown is:
muttdown is a sendmail-replacement designed for use with the mutt email client which will transparently compile annotated text/plain mail into text/html using the Markdown standard. It will recursively walk the MIME tree and compile any text/plain or text/markdown part which begins with the sigil “!m” into Markdown, which it will insert alongside the original in a multipart/alternative container.
It’s also smart enough not to break multipart/signed
There are three methods to install muttdown on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install muttdown Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install muttdown using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install muttdown
Install muttdown Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install muttdown using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install muttdown
Install muttdown Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install muttdown using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install muttdown
How To Uninstall muttdown on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the muttdown package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove muttdown

To remove muttdown configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge muttdown
