How To Install murano-agent on Ubuntu 18.04

In this tutorial we learn how to install murano-agent on Ubuntu 18.04.
What is murano-agent
murano-agent is:
Murano Project introduces an application catalog, which allows application developers and cloud administrators to publish various cloud-ready applications in a browsable categorised catalog, which may be used by the cloud users (including the inexperienced ones) to pick-up the needed applications and services and composes the reliable environments out of them in a “push-the-button” manner.
This package contains the Murano Agent, which is a VM-side guest agent that accepts commands from Murano Conductor and executes them.
There are three methods to install murano-agent on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install murano-agent Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install murano-agent using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install murano-agent
Install murano-agent Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install murano-agent using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install murano-agent
Install murano-agent Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install murano-agent using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install murano-agent
How To Uninstall murano-agent on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the murano-agent package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove murano-agent
Uninstall murano-agent And Its Dependencies
To uninstall murano-agent and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove murano-agent
Remove murano-agent Configurations and Data
To remove murano-agent configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge murano-agent
Remove murano-agent configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove murano-agent configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge murano-agent
