What is munin-common
Munin is a highly flexible and powerful solution used to create graphs of virtually everything imaginable throughout your network, while still maintaining a rattling ease of installation and configuration. This package contains common files that are used by both the server (munin) and node (munin-node) packages.
We can use yum or dnf to install munin-common on AlmaLinux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install munin-common.
Install munin-common on AlmaLinux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install munin-common using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install munin-common
Install munin-common on AlmaLinux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install munin-common using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install munin-common
How To Uninstall munin-common on AlmaLinux 8
To uninstall only the munin-common package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove munin-common
