How To Install multimon-ng on Kali Linux

What is multimon-ng
multimon-ng is:
The successor to multimon, with support for more modes and improved compatibility with moderns systems. It decodes the following digital transmission modes commonly found on VHF/UHF bands:

Multiple decoders can run concurrently on the same signal, which is provided via a file or a pipe. Common setups are: a radio connected via a sound card (may require modifications to the radio); samples provided via a GNU Radio sink or the UDP audio stream in gqrx (via netcat and sox).
There are three methods to install multimon-ng on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install multimon-ng Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install multimon-ng using apt-get by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install multimon-ng using aptitude by running the following command:

To uninstall only the multimon-ng package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove multimon-ngUninstall multimon-ng And Its Dependencies
To uninstall multimon-ng and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove multimon-ngRemove multimon-ng Configurations and Data
To remove multimon-ng configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge multimon-ngRemove multimon-ng configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove multimon-ng configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge multimon-ngDependencies
