How To Install mtdev-tools on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install mtdev-tools on Kali Linux.
What is mtdev-tools
mtdev-tools is:
libmtdev is a library for translating evdev multitouch events using the legacy protocol to the new multitouch slots protocol. This is necessary for kernel drivers that have not been updated to use the newer protocol.
This package provides some test tools for the libmtdev library.
- mtdev-test: prints the information coming from the kernel
There are three methods to install mtdev-tools on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install mtdev-tools Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install mtdev-tools using apt-get by running the following command:
