How To Install mpt-status on Ubuntu 18.04

The mpt-status software is a query tool to access the running configuration and status of LSI SCSI HBAs. mpt-status allows you to monitor the health and status of your RAID setup.
There are three methods to install mpt-status on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install mpt-status Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update

To uninstall mpt-status and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove mpt-status
Remove mpt-status Configurations and Data
To remove mpt-status configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge mpt-status
