How To Install mp3val on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install mp3val on Kali Linux.
What is mp3val
mp3val is:
MP3val is a small, high-speed tool for MPEG audio files validation and (optionally) fixing problems.
It was primarily designed for verification of MPEG 1 Layer III (MP3) files, but supports also other MPEG versions and layers.
It can be useful for finding corrupted files (e.g. incompletely downloaded).
There are three methods to install mp3val on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install mp3val Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install mp3val using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install mp3valInstall mp3val Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install mp3val using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install mp3valInstall mp3val Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install mp3val using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install mp3valHow To Uninstall mp3val on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the mp3val package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove mp3valUninstall mp3val And Its Dependencies
To uninstall mp3val and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove mp3valRemove mp3val Configurations and Data
To remove mp3val configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge mp3valRemove mp3val configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove mp3val configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
