How To Install mp3splt on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install mp3splt on Kali Linux.
What is mp3splt
mp3splt is:
This package provides the command line interface for splitting audio files at a given begin and end time position without decoding. If splitting an album, you can select split points and filenames manually or read them from CDDB or cue files. Splitting on silence and data from Mp3Wrap or AlbumWrap is also supported. For mp3 files, both ID3v1 & ID3v2 tags are supported. A GTK interface is provided in the mp3splt-gtk package.
There are three methods to install mp3splt on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install mp3splt Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install mp3splt using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install mp3spltInstall mp3splt Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install mp3splt using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install mp3spltInstall mp3splt Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install mp3splt using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install mp3spltHow To Uninstall mp3splt on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the mp3splt package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove mp3spltUninstall mp3splt And Its Dependencies
To uninstall mp3splt and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove mp3spltRemove mp3splt Configurations and Data
To remove mp3splt configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge mp3spltRemove mp3splt configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
