How To Install mp3info-gtk on Ubuntu 18.04

MP3Info can display ID3 tag information as well as various technical aspects of an MP3 file including playing time, bit-rate, sampling frequency and other attributes in a pre-defined or user-specifiable output format.
This package installs GTK+ version of mp3info. If you prefer command line or curses interface you should use mp3info package.
There are three methods to install mp3info-gtk on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install mp3info-gtk using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install mp3info-gtk using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

How To Uninstall mp3info-gtk on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the mp3info-gtk package we can use the following command:

To uninstall mp3info-gtk and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove mp3info-gtk

To remove mp3info-gtk configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge mp3info-gtk
