What is mozilla-adblockplus
Adblock Plus is a content-filtering extension for the Mozilla Firefox- and Mozilla Application Suite-based web browsers. Adblock Plus allows users to prevent page elements, such as advertisements, from being downloaded and displayed. It features improvements to the user interface, filter subscriptions, and element hiding over the original Adblock extension.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install mozilla-adblockplus
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install mozilla-adblockplus.
Install mozilla-adblockplus on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install mozilla-adblockplus
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install mozilla-adblockplus
Install mozilla-adblockplus on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install mozilla-adblockplus
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install mozilla-adblockplus
How To Uninstall mozilla-adblockplus on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the mozilla-adblockplus
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove mozilla-adblockplus
