How To Install mozc-utils-gui on Ubuntu 22.04

on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is mozc-utils-gui
mozc-utils-gui is:
Mozc is a Japanese Input Method Editor (IME) designed for multi-platform such as Chromium OS, Windows, Mac and Linux.
mozc-server provides GUI uitilities of the Mozc input method. This uses GUI and can set ibus-mozc and the user’s dictionary.
This open-source project originates from Google Japanese Input.
There are three methods to install mozc-utils-gui
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install mozc-utils-gui Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install mozc-utils-gui
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install mozc-utils-gui

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install mozc-utils-gui
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install mozc-utils-gui
Install mozc-utils-gui Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install mozc-utils-gui
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install mozc-utils-gui
How To Uninstall mozc-utils-gui on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the mozc-utils-gui
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove mozc-utils-gui
Uninstall mozc-utils-gui And Its Dependencies
To uninstall mozc-utils-gui
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove mozc-utils-gui
Remove mozc-utils-gui Configurations and Data
To remove mozc-utils-gui
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge mozc-utils-gui
Remove mozc-utils-gui configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove mozc-utils-gui
