How To Install mousepad on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install mousepad on Kali Linux.
What is mousepad
mousepad is:
Mousepad is a graphical text editor for Xfce based on Leafpad.
The initial reason for Mousepad was to provide printing support, which would have been difficult for Leafpad for various reasons.
Although some features are under development, currently Mousepad has the following features:

- Cut/Copy/Paste and Select All text
- Search and Replace
- Font selection
- Word Wrap
- Character coding selection
- Auto character coding detection (UTF-8 and some code-sets)

There are three methods to install mousepad on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install mousepad Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install mousepad using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install mousepadInstall mousepad Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.

To remove mousepad configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
