How To Install mosquitto on Debian 10

What is mosquitto
mosquitto is:
This is a message broker that supports version 3.1 and 3.1.1 of the MQTT protocol.
MQTT provides a method of carrying out messaging using a publish/subscribe model. It is lightweight, both in terms of bandwidth usage and ease of implementation. There are three methods to install mosquitto
on Debian 10. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install mosquitto Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get

sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install mosquitto
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install mosquitto

sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install mosquitto
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install mosquitto
Install mosquitto Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install mosquitto
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install mosquitto
How To Uninstall mosquitto on Debian 10
To uninstall only the mosquitto
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove mosquitto
Uninstall mosquitto And Its Dependencies
To uninstall mosquitto
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 10, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove mosquitto
Remove mosquitto Configurations and Data
To remove mosquitto
configuration and data from Debian 10 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge mosquitto
