How To Install morbig on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install morbig on Kali Linux.
What is morbig
morbig is:
Morbig is a parser for shell scripts that are written in the POSIX shell script language. It parses the scripts statically, that is without executing them, and constructs a concrete syntax tree for each of them. The concrete syntax trees are built using constructors according to the shell grammar of the POSIX standard.
This package contains the parser tool which allows you to parse shell scripts, and to obtain their concrete syntax tree in various formats.
There are three methods to install morbig on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install morbig Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install morbig using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install morbigInstall morbig Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install morbig using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install morbigInstall morbig Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install morbig using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install morbigHow To Uninstall morbig on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the morbig package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove morbigUninstall morbig And Its Dependencies
To uninstall morbig and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove morbigRemove morbig Configurations and Data
To remove morbig configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge morbigRemove morbig configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
