How To Install mono-apache-server on Kali Linux

What is mono-apache-server

mono-apache-server is:

mono-apache-server contains the backend for mod_mono. It lets you run ASP.NET web applications via Apache. mod_mono will call mono-apache-server to parse and compile the aspx code.

This package pulls in the default version of the Apache backend.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install mono-apache-server using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install mono-apache-server

How To Uninstall mono-apache-server on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the mono-apache-server package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove mono-apache-server

To uninstall mono-apache-server and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove mono-apache-server
