How To Install mongoose on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install mongoose on Kali Linux.
What is mongoose
mongoose is:
Suitesparse is a collection of libraries for computations involving sparse matrices.
Mongoose is a graph partitioning library that can quickly compute edge cuts in arbitrary graph. Given a graph with a vertex set and edge set, an edge cut is a partitioning of the graph into two subgraphs that are balanced (contain the same number of vertices) and the connectivity between the subgraphs is minimized (few edges are in the cut).
This package contains the standalone executable.
There are three methods to install mongoose on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install mongoose Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install mongoose using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install mongooseInstall mongoose Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install mongoose using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install mongooseInstall mongoose Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install mongoose using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install mongooseHow To Uninstall mongoose on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the mongoose package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove mongooseUninstall mongoose And Its Dependencies
To uninstall mongoose and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove mongooseRemove mongoose Configurations and Data
To remove mongoose configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge mongooseRemove mongoose configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove mongoose configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge mongooseDependencies
