How To Install monero-tests on Debian 12

What is monero-tests
monero-tests is:
Full Monero client (a.k.a. Monero Core) is a full-node wallet for the Monero network.
Monero (XMR) is an open-source cryptocurrency that focuses on privacy and decentralization. Monero uses a public ledger to record transactions while new units are created through a process called mining. Monero aims to improve on existing cryptocurrency design by obscuring sender, recipient and amount of every transaction made as well as making the mining process more egalitarian.
This package provides the test suite for Full Monero client.
There are three methods to install monero-tests
on Debian 12. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install monero-tests Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install monero-tests
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install monero-tests
Install monero-tests Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install monero-tests
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install monero-tests
Install monero-tests Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install monero-tests
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install monero-tests
How To Uninstall monero-tests on Debian 12
To uninstall only the monero-tests
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove monero-tests
Uninstall monero-tests And Its Dependencies
To uninstall monero-tests
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 12, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove monero-tests
Remove monero-tests Configurations and Data
To remove monero-tests
configuration and data from Debian 12 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge monero-tests
Remove monero-tests configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove monero-tests
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
