How To Install mon-contrib on Debian 10

In this tutorial we learn how to install mon-contrib
on Debian 10.
What is mon-contrib
mon-contrib is:
mon-contrib is the mon /contrib archive. It contains user-submitted add-ons to mon, which are not included in the main mon distribution.
Most submissions are not checked by the archive maintainers for quality and some may not work, or work how you expect them to (most are quite good, though).

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install mon-contrib
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install mon-contrib
How To Uninstall mon-contrib on Debian 10
To uninstall only the mon-contrib
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove mon-contrib
Uninstall mon-contrib And Its Dependencies
To uninstall mon-contrib
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 10, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove mon-contrib
Remove mon-contrib Configurations and Data
To remove mon-contrib
configuration and data from Debian 10 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge mon-contrib
Remove mon-contrib configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
