What is mod_geoip
mod_geoip is an Apache module to look up geolocation information for a client as part of the HTTP request process. It uses the GeoIP library and database to perform the lookup. It is free software, licensed under the Apache license.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install mod_geoip
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install mod_geoip.

Update yum database with yum
