What is mod_autoindex_mb

This package contains mod_autoindex_mb, the Apache module which represents the core of MirrorBrain. This package contains mod_autoindex_mb, which is a patched mod_autoindex. It adds a little further capability as index option. It adds these two options IndexOptions Metalink IndexOptions Mirrorlist The Metalink option adds a link named “Metalink” to the index, which links to the same file but with “.metalink” appended. The MirrorList option adds a link named “Mirrors” to the index, which links to the same resources but with “?mirrorlist” appended.

We can use yum or dnf to install mod_autoindex_mb on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install mod_autoindex_mb.

Install mod_autoindex_mb on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install mod_autoindex_mb using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install mod_autoindex_mb

Install mod_autoindex_mb on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install mod_autoindex_mb using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install mod_autoindex_mb

How To Uninstall mod_autoindex_mb on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the mod_autoindex_mb package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove mod_autoindex_mb
