How To Install mm-common on Ubuntu 20.04

In this tutorial we learn how to install mm-common on Ubuntu 20.04.
What is mm-common
mm-common is:
The mm-common module provides the build infrastructure and utilities shared among the GNOME C++ binding libraries. It is only a required dependency for building the C++ bindings from the gnome.org version control repository. An installation of mm-common is not required for building tarball releases, unless configured to use maintainer-mode.
The mm-common package also includes a snapshot of the Doxygen tag file for the GNU C++ Library reference documentation.
There are three methods to install mm-common on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install mm-common Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install mm-common using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install mm-common
Install mm-common Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install mm-common using apt by running the following command:

Install mm-common Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

How To Uninstall mm-common on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the mm-common package we can use the following command:

To uninstall mm-common and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove mm-common
Remove mm-common Configurations and Data
To remove mm-common configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge mm-common
Remove mm-common configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove mm-common configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
