How To Install ml-burg on Ubuntu 18.04

In this tutorial we learn how to install ml-burg on Ubuntu 18.04.
What is ml-burg
ml-burg is:
ml-burg generates a Standard ML program to perform bottom-up rewriting of an input tree. Cost information associated with each rewrite rule is used to derive the minimum rewrite cost for the entire tree. A successful reduction corresponds to rewriting the input tree to a special non-terminal symbol called the “start” non-terminal. Upon successful reduction, facilities are provided to walk the tree emitting semantic actions corresponding to the rules that matched.
Install this package if you want to write a compiler in SML using a burg specification.
There are three methods to install ml-burg on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install ml-burg Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install ml-burg using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ml-burg
How To Uninstall ml-burg on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the ml-burg package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ml-burg
Uninstall ml-burg And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ml-burg and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ml-burg
Remove ml-burg Configurations and Data
To remove ml-burg configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ml-burg
Remove ml-burg configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove ml-burg configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
