How To Install mingw-w64-tools on Ubuntu 18.04

What is mingw-w64-tools
mingw-w64-tools is:
MinGW-w64 provides a development and runtime environment for 32- and 64-bit (x86 and x64) Windows applications using the Windows API and the GNU Compiler Collection (gcc).
This package contains:
- gendef, which extracts DLL exports from Windows executables;
- genidl, which extracts IDL information from Windows executables;
- genpeimg, which manipulates PE flags in Windows executables;
- widl, which generates build files from IDL descriptions;
- pkg-config symlinks to allow .pc-based libraries to be used.
There are three methods to install mingw-w64-tools on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install mingw-w64-tools using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install mingw-w64-tools
How To Uninstall mingw-w64-tools on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the mingw-w64-tools package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove mingw-w64-tools

To uninstall mingw-w64-tools and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove mingw-w64-tools

To remove mingw-w64-tools configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge mingw-w64-tools

We can use the following command to remove mingw-w64-tools configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge mingw-w64-tools
