How To Install minetest-server on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install minetest-server on Kali Linux.
What is minetest-server
minetest-server is:
Minetest is a minecraft-inspired game written from scratch and licensed under the LGPL (version 2.1 or later). It supports both survival and creative modes along with multiplayer support, dynamic lighting, and an “infinite” map generator.
This is the minetest server package.
There are three methods to install minetest-server on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install minetest-server Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install minetest-server using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install minetest-serverInstall minetest-server Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install minetest-server using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install minetest-serverInstall minetest-server Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install minetest-server using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install minetest-serverHow To Uninstall minetest-server on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the minetest-server package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove minetest-serverUninstall minetest-server And Its Dependencies
To uninstall minetest-server and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove minetest-serverRemove minetest-server Configurations and Data
To remove minetest-server configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge minetest-serverRemove minetest-server configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove minetest-server configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
