How To Install miller on Kali Linux

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install miller on Kali Linux.

What is miller

miller is:

Miller (mlr) allows name-indexed data such as CSV files to be processed with functions equivalent to sed, awk, cut, join, sort etc. It can convert between formats, preserves headers when sorting or reversing, and streams data where possible so its memory requirements stay small. It works well with pipes and can feed “tail -f”.

There are three methods to install miller on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update
