How To Install mhc-utils on Ubuntu 18.04

What is mhc-utils
mhc-utils is:
MHC (Message Harmonized Calendaring system) is a personal schedule management system, that is designed to help those who receive most appointments via email.
MHC has the following features:

- Simple data structure; schedule articles are stored in the same form of MH that allows you to manipulate stored data in many ways.
- Powerful but simple expression of appointments.
This package provides the mhc command and Ruby libraries. To use MHC on Emacs, install the mhc package.
There are three methods to install mhc-utils
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install mhc-utils Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install mhc-utils
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install mhc-utils

using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install mhc-utils

Install mhc-utils Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install mhc-utils
using aptitude

How To Uninstall mhc-utils on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the mhc-utils
package we can use the following command:

and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove mhc-utils
Remove mhc-utils Configurations and Data
To remove mhc-utils
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge mhc-utils
Remove mhc-utils configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
