How To Install metis64 on CentOS 7
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install metis64
on CentOS 7.
What is metis64
METIS is a set of serial programs for partitioning graphs, partitioning finite element meshes, and producing fill reducing orderings for sparse matrices. The algorithms implemented in METIS are based on the multilevel recursive-bisection, multilevel k-way, and multi-constraint partitioning schemes developed in our lab. METIS is distributed with OpenMP support. This build has 64bit INTEGER support.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install metis64
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install metis64.
Install metis64 on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
After updating yum database, We can install metis64
using yum
by running the following command:
Install metis64 on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
