This project aims to be a functional replacement for plexus-utils in Maven. It is not a 100% API compatible replacement though but a replacement with improvements a lot of unused code.

We can use yum or dnf to install maven-shared-utils on AlmaLinux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install maven-shared-utils.

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

How To Uninstall maven-shared-utils on AlmaLinux 8

To uninstall only the maven-shared-utils package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove maven-shared-utils
