Maven 3 dropped support for non-unique snapshot versions, which had the side effect of filling up Maven caches on developer machines and on CI build hosts. The Maven Cache Cleanup utility scans a specified Maven cache directory for snapshot versions and deletes all but the latest version of the timestamped artifacts.
There are three methods to install maven-cache-cleanup on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install maven-cache-cleanup Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install maven-cache-cleanup using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
