The mate-themes-extras package contains a collection of GTK2/3 desktop themes for all gtk based desktops. These themes can change the appearance of application widgets, icons, window borders, cursors, etc. This package is optimized for GTK3-3.14. Theme list Smoothly-Black.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install mate-themes-extras
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install mate-themes-extras.
Install mate-themes-extras on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install mate-themes-extras
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install mate-themes-extras
Install mate-themes-extras on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install mate-themes-extras
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install mate-themes-extras
How To Uninstall mate-themes-extras on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the mate-themes-extras
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove mate-themes-extras
