How To Install mariadb-client on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install mariadb-client on Kali Linux.
What is mariadb-client
mariadb-client is:
This is an empty package that depends on the current “best” version of mariadb-client (currently mariadb-client-10.5), as determined by the MariaDB maintainers. Install this package if in doubt about which MariaDB version you want, as this is the one considered to be in the best shape.
There are three methods to install mariadb-client on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install mariadb-client Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install mariadb-client using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install mariadb-clientInstall mariadb-client Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install mariadb-client using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install mariadb-clientInstall mariadb-client Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install mariadb-client using aptitude by running the following command:

To uninstall only the mariadb-client package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove mariadb-clientUninstall mariadb-client And Its Dependencies
To uninstall mariadb-client and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove mariadb-clientRemove mariadb-client Configurations and Data
To remove mariadb-client configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge mariadb-clientRemove mariadb-client configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove mariadb-client configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
