How To Install mapcache-cgi on Kali Linux

What is mapcache-cgi
mapcache-cgi is:
This package contains the mapcache FastCGI program, as alternative to the Apache module available in libapache2-mod-mapcache.
MapCache is a server that implements tile caching to speed up access to WMS layers. The primary objectives are to be fast and easily deployable, while offering the essential features (and more!) expected from a tile caching solution.
There are three methods to install mapcache-cgi on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install mapcache-cgi Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install mapcache-cgi using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install mapcache-cgiInstall mapcache-cgi Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install mapcache-cgi using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install mapcache-cgiInstall mapcache-cgi Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install mapcache-cgi using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install mapcache-cgiHow To Uninstall mapcache-cgi on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the mapcache-cgi package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove mapcache-cgiUninstall mapcache-cgi And Its Dependencies
To uninstall mapcache-cgi and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove mapcache-cgiRemove mapcache-cgi Configurations and Data
To remove mapcache-cgi configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge mapcache-cgiRemove mapcache-cgi configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove mapcache-cgi configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge mapcache-cgiDependencies
