What is man-pages-zh-CN

manpages-zh is a sub-project from i18n-zh, from the Chinese Man Pages Project (CMPP). However, the original CMPP seems inactive, nor can the original home page (cmpp.linuxforum.net) be visited. This project revives and maintains the remains of CMPP. So far the simplified Chinese is packed.

We can use yum or dnf to install man-pages-zh-CN on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install man-pages-zh-CN.

Install man-pages-zh-CN on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install man-pages-zh-CN using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install man-pages-zh-CN
