mailnag is:

Mailnag is a daemon program that checks POP3 and IMAP servers for new mail. On mail arrival it performs various actions provided by plugins. Mailnag comes with a set of desktop-independent default plugins for visual/sound notifications, script execution etc. and can be extended with additional plugins easily.

There are three methods to install mailnag on Debian 11. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install mailnag Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install mailnag using apt-get by running the following command:
