In this tutorial we learn how to install mISDN-devel on CentOS 7.

What is mISDN-devel

mISDN (modular ISDN) is intended to be the new ISDN stack for the Linux 2.6 kernel, from the maintainer of the existing isdn4linux code. This package contains the development files for userspace libraries required to interface to mISDN, needed for compiling applications which use mISDN directly such as OpenPBX.

We can use yum or dnf to install mISDN-devel on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install mISDN-devel.

Install mISDN-devel on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install mISDN-devel using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install mISDN-devel

Install mISDN-devel on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install mISDN-devel using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install mISDN-devel

How To Uninstall mISDN-devel on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the mISDN-devel package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove mISDN-devel
