How To Install lua-supple on Ubuntu 20.04

What is lua-supple
lua-supple is:
Supple is a very strict sandbox which runs Lua code on behalf of applications which cannot trust the code very much.
Supple relies on a number of techniques to sandbox the user code away from the host application, such as chroots, seccomp mode, interpreter sandboxing, and rlimits. Lua-Versions: 5.1 5.2
There are three methods to install lua-supple
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install lua-supple Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install lua-supple
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install lua-supple
Install lua-supple Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install lua-supple
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install lua-supple
Install lua-supple Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install lua-supple
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install lua-supple
How To Uninstall lua-supple on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the lua-supple
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove lua-supple
Uninstall lua-supple And Its Dependencies
To uninstall lua-supple
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove lua-supple
Remove lua-supple Configurations and Data
To remove lua-supple
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge lua-supple
Remove lua-supple configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove lua-supple
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge lua-supple
