How To Install lua-nginx-redis on Kali Linux

This modules provides a pure Lua redis driver implementation for the embedded nginx’s Lua interpreter.

Because this module is based on the ngx_lua’s cosocket API, it inherits the advantage of a real nonblocking behaviour running effectively on the underlying nginx server ultra-fast technology design, allowing Web developers making use of the Lua programming language to script and construct extremely high-performance web applications capable to handle 10K+ connections.

Note that this module works for both nginx (provided by nginx-extras) and the OpenResty bundle.

There are three methods to install lua-nginx-redis on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install lua-nginx-redis Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install lua-nginx-redis using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install lua-nginx-redis

Install lua-nginx-redis Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install lua-nginx-redis using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install lua-nginx-redis

Install lua-nginx-redis Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install lua-nginx-redis using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install lua-nginx-redis

How To Uninstall lua-nginx-redis on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the lua-nginx-redis package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove lua-nginx-redis

Uninstall lua-nginx-redis And Its Dependencies

To uninstall lua-nginx-redis and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove lua-nginx-redis

Remove lua-nginx-redis Configurations and Data

To remove lua-nginx-redis configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge lua-nginx-redis

Remove lua-nginx-redis configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove lua-nginx-redis configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
